Duties & taxes

Your order is consolidated weekly at our overseas hub, shipped together to Bigtent Canada or the U.S. warehouse. From there, it's delivered to you just like a local package or as an internal shipment if you're located elsewhere.

Duties & Taxes
Canada & U.S. Orders: Bigtent covers all import duties and customs fees no extra charges after checkout. However, local taxes may apply depending on your place of residence.
Other countries: Customers may need to pay import duties and fees upon delivery (not at checkout).

Delivery & Tracking
⏱️ Estimated delivery: Usually 10–20 business days.
📦 Tracking number: Emailed to you once your package leaves the Bigtent Canada/US warehouse.

Discover Bigtent Direct & Bigtent Explore

Most products: within 1–3 business days after you place your order.
Bigtent Direct products: usually within 2–3 business days, once the package leaves our overseas hub.
Bigtent Explore products: about one week after your order, once the shipment arrives at our Canada warehouse and is dispatched to you.

Items under $800 were once duty-free, but that exemption has ended and tariffs now apply. Bigtent has temporarily paused the Bigtent Direct service for U.S. orders until import rules stabilize.
However, you can still shop through Bigtent Explore, where we handle customs clearance for you.
Some items shipped from our Canada warehouse may incur duties charged by the carrier.
Choose products with the Bigtent Explore label for a duty-free experience.

Did your order include any Bigtent Direct (BD) products?
BD items are excluded from our free-shipping offer, since we already apply a tier-based shipping rate designed to charge you the minimum possible cost for air-direct delivery.

In addition, some products with large dimensional weight or discounted items also be excluded from the free-shipping threshold.

Aside from these cases, free shipping is applied automatically once your order qualifies.

Our headquarters is in Canada, but the shipping dispatching location depends on the product, brand, or shipping method. Orders may ship from South Korea, Canada, or the United States.

We strongly recommend keeping it, as it covers any damages, loss, or theft during delivery. This is especially important for Bigtent Direct and Explore orders, since they involve international shipping.
If you choose to opt out, please note that Bigtent Outdoors will not be able to assist with shipping-related problems, as we won’t have the tools to file claims on your behalf.

Bigtent Direct (BD) products follow a separate warranty policy.
Most other products, including Bigtent Explore(BE) products, are covered under our General Warranty, but please note that some exceptions may apply.
